"Het verdwenen dagboek" by Jopie de Klerk is a historical ghost story written in the 1980s
by a school teacher, in an attempt to make her young students interested in history and
reading. It was for years forgotten until her niece this year decided to finally have it
published, offering it as a birthday present for her aunt.

The cover is young, simple, mysterious and inviting. The story takes place in the
southwest of The Netherlands. A young girl visits her uncle in Middelburg but the visit
turns out very differently from what she had expected.
